Age -- 90
Homeland -- Memphis (Originally Thebes)
Occupation -- Pharaoh

After Tutankhamun, Rameses II is probably the most famous pharaoh in Egyptian history, and is considered by many to rank among the greatest of them all. Part of his fame stems from his military career, which included defeating sea pirates and leading several expeditions into Sudan, Libya, and southwestern Asia. However, he is also known as a commissioner of many prodigious building projects. The twin temples of Abu Simbel, the mortuary temple known as the Ramesseum in Thebes, and the entire city of Pi-Rameses in the Delta region are only the most notable of the many construction projects he launched. In fact, Rameses II often had entire temples renovated so that they were decorated with propaganda praising him.

It has been claimed that Rameses II is the villainous Pharaoh in the Biblical book of Exodus, but no texts during his reign mention plagues, slave revolts, or any of the other events in that book.

Rameses II is the current Pharaoh of Egypt, an elderly man, he has outlived most of his sons -- including Setna and wives. Despite Rameses' severe health problems, and elder age he is still more than capable of fighting on chariot and with bow, however he leads the ruling of his kingdom to his crown prince, Merneptah.
